Phase one: REC infrastructure

Ātar

Ātar

Energy—with proof, origin and value

Ātar begins with the digital infrastructure for renewable energy certificates, but it is not limited to REC. Its product path extends to electricity-generation units and, later, energy assets and power-plant cash flows.

Product roadmap

One infrastructure, three product layers

Ātar’s current focus is REC. The following phases are the product direction and are not yet offered as operational services.

Rather than claiming to solve the entire energy market at once, Ātar starts at the most practical layer and progressively extends a shared measurement, verification and registry foundation.

PHASE 01

REC / 1 MWh

Renewable Energy Certificates

Record the renewable attribute of generation and support certificate issuance, transfer, trading, splitting and retirement while controlling double counting.

PHASE 02

POWER / kWh

Tokenised electricity generation

Connect smart-meter readings to the economic right associated with generated energy, enabling allocation, buyer matching and settlement of real electricity units.

Next phase
PHASE 03

ENERGY / RWA

Power-plant assets and cash flows

Digitally model power plants, offtake contracts and revenue streams to create real-asset-based investment and financing instruments.

Future horizon

Concept architecture

One shared core for three distinct products

REC, kWh units and power-plant assets are distinct products, yet all three rely on the same core: real-world data, verification, a digital registry and connection to market infrastructure.

Technology infrastructure

Developing Ātar on the Kuknos Network

We use the Kuknos Network’s distributed-ledger and asset-tokenisation capabilities to develop this concept. Ātar designs the energy model, verification and product lifecycle; Kuknos provides the token registry and interaction layer.

01

Measure

Capture meter and source-system data together with time, quantity and site identity.

02

Verify

Check data quality and consistency to prove generation and prevent duplicate registration or claims.

03

Tokenise

Create the representation appropriate to the product: certificate, energy right or asset-based instrument.

04

Connect to market

Prepare transfer, trading, retirement or settlement flows under each product’s market rules.

Ātar defines the energy logic and product lifecycle, while Kuknos provides the distributed tokenisation and registry infrastructure used to develop the concept.

Design principles

Trust is designed into the product.

Ātar’s value is not limited to the appearance of a token. Energy identity, generation proof, institutional connectivity and settlement logic need to exist in its architecture from the outset.

Unique identity

Every unit is defined by distinguishable origin, time and energy attributes.

Verifiability

The data trail is designed to remain available for assessment and audit.

Interoperability

The technical layer is designed to connect with energy-sector actors and systems.

Settlement readiness

Market, contract and settlement considerations inform the model from day one.

INSTITUTIONAL COLLABORATION

Institutional collaboration

The market—not as a showcase, but as infrastructure for trust

Ātar is being developed in partnership with Iran Energy Exchange, combining TAA Energy Brokerage’s product and technology perspective with the experience and institutional capacity of the formal energy market.

Ātar currently focuses on renewable energy certificate infrastructure. The kWh and power-plant asset layers are future product phases; issuance and trading details will follow the relevant technical and regulatory work.

Collaborate on energy’s future

Let’s shape the next generation of energy infrastructure.
